Sure, you can read my bio and statement in the "About Me" section, but let's get personal. Don't worry, not too personal.
I am an interior designer by day, artist, traveler, single dog mom, board gamer by night. I have been working in the commercial interior design industry for close to 15 years now. I have only owned the "artist" title for less than 5 years! It has been so cool to see my creativity bloom in design as my art career grows. Imagination is a muscle and is limitless if you tend to it daily.
I have also embraced my inner "nerd" and child more and more in my late thirties. I find awe and curiosity in unexpected places. For example, I recently became a first-time homebuyer, and the wildlife in my backyard is a constant source of wonder. I surprise myself at how fascinated I am with the "disgusting" like earthworm castings, cicada shells and ant lions. I am obsessed with strange textures which leads to an interest in mycology. While many people have trypophobia, I experience trypoMANIA. Don't google unless you're prepared to be queasy (or delighted like me!).
I also love Euro board games. IYKYK. If you don't, an example of one of my favorites is Everdell. The artwork is incredible and the game is multi-dimensional.
My laptop is about to die, so that's all for now. I'll have to do a continued post to finish this bio extension.
Best,
Allison
